Effective Self-defence - The attack.

Everybody with experiences in martial arts knows the basis of the duel. In most martial arts there is a great relevance to identify the attack visually that means from which direction, height or angle it comes.
First this requires a time-consuming waiting of the attack-leading; there is often not enough time for choosing the right defence move as the reaction time which passes by until the defence move is longer than the attack itself. Second causes the visual assessment of an attack - even for long-year professionals to uncertainty -  when the attack is dificult to rate.
Often a conflict is starting surprisingly on the streets. As the rule the counter is unknown, every hit can mean the defeat. No attack is like another. If the defencer is obliged to assess the attack visually and to react first to the technique of the counter which leads often to a fending and shy self-defence in which not the one with the better technique wins but unfortunately the brutal street fighter.
For Wing Tsun the counter attack as well as his/her style is irrelevant as Wing Tsun-ler do not trust the optical thing but their tactile (contact) reflexes. Wing Tsun reactivates lost senses: The today rare used haptic sense can be revived by an special training and used in a completely different

Effective Self-defence - Tactile reflexes

Due to the assembly of tactile reflexes the arm is not just a weapon but also an information-acceptor. It "acts" self-cotained as reflex and there is no need to affect it consiously. Long reaction times caused by the innertness of the eyes and the indirection of reactions through the brain escape completely. Due to these tactile reflexes which are trained with the "Chi Sao" (specified training program) Win Tsun-ler are able to compensate the distance to the counter completely.
With this consistently, extremely short but high-explosive attacks the WT-ler let their counters no time to accumulate or punch back. Another advantage of Wing Tsun is the fact that attack and defence are one action whereas most other styles attack and defence are two aparted actions. This yield a further time advantage against the counter. With this the defencer does not need to decide about the technique which he/she requires for the defence of the attack.
The offensive way is condition of this absolutely different kind of fight of Wing Tsun. Realistic training by abdication of restrictions as to regulations, high-explosive techniques which gets its speed from the relaxation of movements and constantly proceeding defence method as for example consequent chain-fist-techniques will be throng the potential aggressor into the unexpected position of the passive defencer.
